On 23 March, a delegation led by Dr. Jiang Shengbo, Executive President of Pickering Institute, Singapore, visited our institution for an official exchange.

The delegation held a working meeting with Cheng Xiwu, Director of the International Exchange Centre; Lei Hongsheng, Dean of the School of Continuing Education; and other relevant representatives. Discussions focused primarily on potential collaboration in international foundation programmes and study tour initiatives.

During the meeting, both sides introduced their respective institutional development, achievements in international education, and approaches to talent development. They also exchanged views on educational philosophy and long-term objectives.

A key area of discussion was the proposed 2026 Pickering Institute International Foundation “1+2+1” Bachelor’s-Master’s Pathway Programme. Both parties explored important matters including curriculum articulation and admission requirements in detail.

Initial consensus was also reached on broader forms of cooperation, including the development of study tour programmes and the establishment of regular exchange mechanisms between institutions.

The foundation programme is jointly provided by Pickering Institute Singapore and Woolf University. According to the programme information, it has received dual registration recognition under the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) and in the United States, while its European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) framework is widely recognised internationally.

The curriculum incorporates selected academic concepts and credit-bearing modules drawing on Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and Harvard Business School, with subject areas including business management, computer science and information technology.

The programme has also established progression pathways with institutions including Kaplan Singapore, PSB Academy and SIM, enabling students to continue their studies at partner universities such as University College Dublin and the University of Birmingham.

The visit provided a constructive platform for both sides to deepen mutual understanding and explore further opportunities in international education, student mobility and academic collaboration.
